Kansas City Chiefs -5.5 (-110)
(NFL) Kansas City vs. Indianapolis,
Point Spread: -5.50 | -110.00 Kansas City (Away)
Result: Loss
Kansas City hasn't seemed to miss a beat so far this season despite trading Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins for a truckload of draft picks. The Chiefs whipped the Cardinals and then managed to take down the Chargers on Thursday Night Football in part due to a pick-six in the fourth quarter. Patrick Mahomes and company are capable of putting up big point totals on a weekly basis. Meanwhile, the Colts are 0-1-1 with Matt Ryan under center and have totaled just 20 points in nine quarters of play. Seventeen of those points came in the fourth quarter of the opener against Houston as they rallied to force overtime. Indianapolis was blanked 24-0 by Jacksonville last week and no one confuses the Jaguars with the '85 Bears defense. On the plus side, the Colts get Michael Pittman Jr. and Alex Pierce back this week but they still won't have Shaquille Leonard, their All-Pro linebacker, as he is recovering from offseason back surgery. Until we see Indianapolis look even remotely competent on offense, you can't expect them to hang with the Chiefs. Give the points as Kansas City rolls to 3-0.
