Minnesota Golden Gophers -3 (-110)
(NCAAF) Minnesota vs. Michigan State,
Point Spread: -3.00 | -110.00 Minnesota (Away)
Result: Win
Minnesota looks like a rejuvenated offensive team with the return of running back Mo Ibrahim after last season's Achilles injury. Offensive coordinator Kirk Ciarrocca was here when Tanner Morgan had his best year back in 2019, throwing for 3,253 yards with 30 touchdown passes against seven interceptions. Now, Ciarrocca is back and Morgan has the Golden Gophers humming on all cylinders. Minnesota has bludgeoned their opposition into submission, outscoring them by a combined 149-17 in the first three games of the season. The Golden Gophers are second in the nation in rushing offense with 315.5 yards per game. Meanwhile, they are stifling opposing teams from moving the ball. Michigan State continues to struggle slowing down the passing game of the opposition, as we saw in last week's loss to Washington, when they were sliced and diced by Michael Penix Jr. The Spartans are serving up 264.3 yards per game through the air so far, which is 103rd in the country. We saw how the Spartans sputtered last week and it's tough to see them slowing Minnesota, even at home. Give the points and take the Golden Gophers in this contest as they continue to impress in the first month of the season.
